Using SSH (Secure Shell)

Secure Shell or SSH is a network protocol that allows data to be exchanged over a secure channel between two computers (Our Server and your computer). If you are unfamiliar with this protocol you should consider alternative means of accessing / uploading to the server.

We recommend the SmartFTP Client for uploading content to your website.

If you wish to access our servers via SSH you must first notify us of the IP address you intend to use.
To do this, login to MyAccount and click the ‘SSH IP Submission’ link. Follow the on screen instruction for SSH access.

Important: Access to our servers via SSH is constantly monitored to ensure the highest levels of security. You will be required to reconfirm your IP address at regular intervals.
